Planning your first visit

What to bring. Any prior evaluations, diagnosis letters, or school reports you already have — though none of these are required to book a first conversation. If your child doesn't have a diagnosis yet, that's a normal place to start too.

What happens first. We begin with a comprehensive assessment covering speech, motor skills, sensory processing, cognition, and behavior, followed by a parent orientation where we walk you through the findings in plain language before any therapy begins.

How to reach us. WhatsApp gets the fastest response. If you'd rather talk it through first, call Dr. Akila Palani directly at the number above.

Before you arrive

A few logistics parents usually ask about

Do we need an appointment, or can we walk in?

Reach out on WhatsApp or by phone first so we can set aside proper time for your child's assessment — this isn't a walk-in clinic, and a rushed first visit doesn't serve you well.

How long should we plan for the first visit?

Set aside a few hours for the assessment and, where possible, the orientation conversation that follows it — we'll confirm the exact timing when you book.

Is parking available?

Yes, there is space to park near the centre on Ambattur Industrial Estate Road. If you're arriving by auto or cab, the TNHB, Nolambur landmark is the easiest way to direct a driver.

Should our child come to the first visit?

Yes — the assessment is built around direct observation of your child, so they should be with you, ideally rested and not immediately after a long journey or a missed meal.
